Where did it all come from…
Having been involved in the fitness field for over 20 years (and after working in a few local gyms) we became increasingly frustrated over the lack of results most gyms and trainers got with their clients, specifically when it came to:
1.  Weight loss.
2.  Keeping the weight off.
The research is very clear – the heavier you weigh, the shorter your life span and the more complications you will have in your life – like diabetes, heart disease, joint pain, Alzheimers, dementia, cancer.  The scary list goes on and on!
We (Jamie and Ben) have been there!  We’ve been massively overweight (Jamie gained over 80 pounds during our pregnancy…and lost it all!) and we have had our own health issues (Ben had Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2016 and battled through 6 months of chemo to get his health back).  In fact – all of our coaches have gone through their own health issues.  We KNOW YOU!  We know what it’s like to be sick and tired of being sick and tired.  Let us help you!

Weight loss is hard (we can make it A LOT easier)…but it’s not complicated (at least if you dedicate your life to it like we have 😉 and it certainly doesn’t require fancy diets, overly restrictive meal plans and hours spent in the gym or whacky supplements/bars/shakes.
The three pillar approach – our system.
However, it does require a system!  A system that has been tested on 1000’s of people.  A system that has a heavy background in science but is not so rigid that it doesn’t take into account REAL PEOPLE living REAL LIVES.  A system that provides the three keys to success –
1.  An easy to follow nutrition plan that isn’t overly restrictive, and that allows you to KEEP the weight off AFTER you lose it!
2.  Quick, effective FUN workouts designed to get you in and out of the gym as fast as possible.
3.  A supportive community that holds you accountable to your goals through member support but also actual Accountability Coaches whose job is to make sure you are as successful as possible!
In our opinion, our system is THE BEST SYSTEM in the Upper Valley when it comes to weight loss and keeping the weight off.  Don’t believe us?  Check out some of our testimonials.

But…getting the weight off someone requires more than just simply following a diet and working out.  It requires a lifestyle approach.

What’s a lifestyle based gym?

We are the only gym in the Upper Valley that focuses on improving your lifestyle.  If you truly want to be healthy and keep the weight off you must have a lifestyle that allows that to happen.  We call it our three pillars of WELL-TH:

  1. Community.
  2. Movement/exercise
  3. Lifestyle (nutrition and recovery).

We realized early on that quick fixes don’t work and if you don’t truly commit to change…change won’t happen.  That’s why we only do annual memberships (with the exception of our short term jump start programs…hey…everyone needs a jump start once and a while).  Most gyms will get you to sign a contract and then HOPE you don’t come into their facility.  That’s how they make their money!

But, that’s not us!  We want you in the gym!  In fact, if you don’t show up every week or miss a work out we are reaching out to you to make sure everything is ok.  We routinely have member gatherings/parties every 6-8 weeks and make it a point to try and improve every aspect of our members’ lifestyle.

That’s a lifestyle gym.

Try before you buy

We also want you to be aware that we are one of the more expensive gyms in town. This is by choice. Poor service, poor staff and poor member results are all part of being a cheaply priced facility. To our way of doing business, you can’t be the best and the cheapest at the same time.

This also means that our gym is not for everyone in the community. If you are looking for results and you appreciate quality, then we are the gym for you. We really do feel we are the best at what we do and we’re worth it. Just ask our members or read their testimonials!
